Our Story

The Walton Cruisers Car Club was established approximately twelve years ago as a car and motorcycle enthusiast group. Wayne Hulburt and Lynn McCall were the founding members. Through their brainstorm a club was born. What started as a simple gathering on Tuesday nights grew into a vibrant community. Wayne and Lynn wanted to do a fundraiser for a young local man and ended up raising about 700 dollars. This first Walton Cruisers poker run was a small Event but would grow into something much larger over the years. Throughout the following years the annual poker run would be held for area families in need. In addition to the annual poker run, an annual fall cruise was established. We have visited such places as Watkins-Glen, The Vanderbuilt Mansion on The Hudson, West Point and The Quaker Steak and Lube in Syracuse, NY. The club continues to meet on Wednesdays during the warmer months in Walton, NY. A schedule of our meeting places can be found on our home page as well as our events page. To keep things going through the winter months we have a year end dinner, a christmas party, monthly meetings and we meet every Monday night at Danny's in Walton for a weekly get together. The running of the club has changed several times with Wayne moving to Colorado and Lynn stepping down. Kevin and Erica Charles and Steve Wood "Woody" ran the club for a few years and currently the club leader is Chris Bullis.
